The role of a 21st century art museum

What should or could an art museum look like in the 21st Century? How should it engage with artists and curators, the arts sector and its audiences? Who could it collaborate with, how and why? What is a 21st century art museum’s reason for being? How do we marry contemporary practice with historic and evolving collections? Who do we speak for? What should it stand for?
